Patient Education Seminar 2014
Renal Friends
19th October 2014

On the 19th October 2014, Renal Friends organised a patient education seminar at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The main speaker was Dr. Tan Chieh Suai from the Singapore General Hospital. He spoke on vascular access* care and provided useful tops on how patients can protect their vascular access. There were also games related to vascular access care. After the seminar, KDF Centre nurses collaborated with one of our patients to perform a short skit on vascular access care and ended the seminar with a hand washing dance.

*Vascular access refers to blood vessel access. Haemodialysis patients have vascular access created for treatment purposes.
